This workhorse has a very large wedge effect at the choil. Due to the strong taper and the thinly ground edge, the blade still has a solid cutting ability, especially in the front half. The cutting edge is only slightly curved and the tip is deep. This makes the knife particularly suitable for push cuts and chopping.
Due to the high blade thickness, the knife has a relatively high weight. But due to the successful mass distribution, the knife does not appear heavy.
The blade consists of chromium bearing steel 1.3505, which was manufactured in ESR quality. The steel has a working hardness of 64 hrc and has good wear resistance and high robustness.
This knife is a real workhorse.
Of course, after hardening, the steel was deep-frozen to reduce the retained austenite content.
