A 11,6 cm laser petty with a TNT666 cutting edge and an ebony handle. Read more..
The geometry of this 11.6 cm petty corresponds to a laser. Very good cutting performance with a very thin tip. Accordingly, some caution is required when working.
The cutting edge of this knife is made of the special alloy TNT666. This is an extremely wear-resistant medium-alloyed tool steel with a high achievable hardness, whose wear resistance can easily keep up with that of 1.2562. The steel forms extremely hard titanium-niobium and tungsten-chromium mixed carbides. At the same time, the total content of carbides is still low enough so that fine cutting edges are also possible. A rare material with very good properties.
Of course, the blank was forged with optimal temperature control and forming and then subjected to extensive heat treatment (including deep-freeze treatment after hardening). This guarantees an optimally adjusted structure and finely distributed carbides.
The handle of the knife is made of ebony with spacers made of reindeer antlers and a decorative rivet made of puddle iron, which is riveted to the tang.
