This mortar is for bricking or mortaring the light fire bricks 1430 °C/2606 °F and 1650 °C/3002 °F.
The amount needed depends on how precisely the surfaces to be grouted fit together. With a thin mortar, the stones can be mortared together. A thick mortar can be used with a maximum joint of 5mm.
The following information can serve as a guide: I needed almost 2 kg of mortar to mortar 20 pieces of light fire bricks 1430 °C (2606 °F ) on butt joints and on the side of 230x114mm.
