Extremely fast quenching oil for unalloyed and low-alloy tool steels to achieve maximum hardness. Also ideal for creating hardening lines (Hamon) in unalloyed tool steels. Read more..
Durixol V35 is the fastest hardening oil on the market and is particularly suitable for hardening workpieces made from unalloyed and low-alloy tool steel. It has a significantly faster cooling rate than the well-known American hardening oil "Park's 50".
Durixol V35 achieves an extremely fast cooling rate in the boiling phase and a slower cooling rate in the martensitic transformation range (Ms-Mf). This reduces the risk of warping and cracking. At the same time, the complete hardening of unalloyed tool steels is guaranteed with cross-sections customary for knives.
This hardening oil is particularly suitable for hardening blades made of unalloyed and low-alloy tool steels which, due to their geometry, are not prone to severe hardening distortion. With cross-sections customary for knives, this hardening oil can also be used to harden tool steels that are designated as water hardeners.
If mainly low-alloy and medium-alloy tool steels are to be hardened, I recommend the hardening oil AAA-DA, which has a somewhat gentler quenching rate in the boiling phase and a significantly slower cooling rate in the martensitic transformation range (Ms-Mf). Also available here in the shop.
