Knife handle block made of desert ironwood, cut in the X-Cut Read more..
Desert Ironwood is native to the southern United States and northern Mexico. It is a very heavy and hard wood, which is nevertheless easy to process and polish. This makes it one of the most desirable woods for knife handles.
The blocks offered here are cut in the so-called X-Cut. This means that the wood fibers does not run lengthwise but across the long side of the block. The end grain forms the visible side of the block.
Dimensions: at least 120x46x30mm
Caution: Wood is a natural product and may have fine imperfections, ingrown bark or cracks. However, these can easily be filled with thin superglue.
The pictures show the front and back of the same block. It's not about two blocks!
